Bonsai are miniature trees grown in pots, symbolizing patience and harmony, that combine art, nature, and care in a small space.
The bonsai is a small tree grown in a pot that, through pruning and specific techniques, is shaped to reproduce in miniature the form and appearance of a mature tree found in nature. It is not just a simple ornamental plant, but a true art form, born in China more than two thousand years ago and later developed and perfected in Japan.
The word "bonsai" in Japanese literally means "planted in a tray." This practice requires great patience, attention, and dedication: each bonsai grows slowly and can live for hundreds of years if cared for properly.
Beyond its aesthetic aspect, the bonsai also represents a symbol of balance, harmony, and connection with nature. Growing a bonsai is not just taking care of a plant, but also an opportunity to meditate, reflect, and find inner calm.

Bonsai Exhibition curated by Master Francesco Brancale
At Urban & B, guests can admire a refined bonsai exhibition curated by master Francesco Brancale, husband of the B&B host. Francesco has been dedicated to the art of bonsai since 1990, after years of study and in-depth learning with Italian and foreign masters. His passion has led him to perfect techniques and styles, creating true works of living art.
To share his experience and creations, he opened the Instagram page @kikko.bonsai, where he regularly posts photos of his trees and his most recent works. He is also the founder of the Facebook community "Scambio bonsai, prebonsai, materiale e informazioni bonsai", which has over 3,000 members, a point of reference for enthusiasts and collectors.
The exhibition is a unique opportunity to get closer to the world of bonsai, discover cultivation techniques, and be inspired by the elegance and calm of these small, centuries-old trees.
